BrickByBrick began the day my brother and I looked at our shelves full of LEGO bricks we no longer played with, and realized they deserved more than ending up in a landfill. We imagined a way to pass the joy, creativity, and comfort they once gave us on to other kids who might not have access to toys like these. That idea became BrickByBrick—a student-founded nonprofit dedicated to giving LEGO bricks a meaningful second life.
At BrickByBrick, we collect previously loved LEGO donations from families across New York City. Every brick is sorted, cleaned, and packaged into kits that are ready to be redistributed to underserved children throughout the city. Our goal is simple: reduce waste, spark imagination, and make creative play accessible to all kids, regardless of their circumstances.
Since launching the project, we’ve grown from a small idea in our living room into a community-driven initiative supported by volunteers, donors, and partner organizations across NYC. Each kit we give out represents a moment of joy, discovery, and possibility for a child—and a step toward a more sustainable, equitable city.
Together, we’re building happiness one brick at a time. ❤️🧱

We regularly take donations at the Saint Ann's Church. This is located at 157 Montague Street, Brooklyn, NY, 11201.

Your generosity helps us clean, package, and deliver LEGO kits to children who need them most. Thank you for building brighter futures with us. ❤️🧱
